She specializes in trauma-informed practices and holds graduate degrees in Public Administration and Clinical Social Work, as well as credentials as an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant. 

    Lisa leads a team of over 25 therapists in Hampton Roads, VA, dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to diverse populations. She has served in clinical director roles, implemented trauma-focused programs and grants across Virginia, and actively trains organizations in trauma-informed practices.

I offer a safe, judgment-free environment where you can be your authentic self. As your therapist, I will provide insight, feedback, skills/tips, education, resources and emotional support based on your needs and goals.

    I specialize in trauma and working with individuals that have a history of childhood abuse/neglect, emotional abuse, and/or domestic violence. I have worked with first responders, nurses, military veterans and active-duty service members, and am trained in a handful of techniques including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and BCBT-SP (Brief Cognitive behavioral therapy for Suicidal Prevention).

    I hold an MSW degree from Florida State University and am fully licensed as a clinical social worker in the state of Virginia. I have been a therapist for over 10 years and have experience working in schools with children and adolescents, family therapy, and in-home and outpatient health clinics. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and mood disorders. I currently work with adults starting at the age of 18, providing telehealth therapy sessions.

    I also have experience providing training on DBT skills to clinicians, providing client skills training groups as well as support groups for the American Parkinson Disease Association.

    Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending my free time creating arts and crafts, watching true crime documentaries, playing board games, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy long trips to Target, watching TikToks and soaking up the sunshine.
